Flat tires are expensive. When calculating the cost of a flat there is not only the cost of the repair that sometimes includes tire replacement, but there is also the loss of revenue due to down-time, salaries of unproductive workers waiting for equipment, reduction in tire life, and potential damage to tire inner liner. Add to those costs but the potential costs of damaging a load from rapid tire deflation and loosing the load or control of the vehicle.
